Summer Schools
Summer Schools 2011
Summer Schools give you the opportunity to study abroad for a shorter period, from ten days till a couple of weeks.
As of 2011, grants for Summer Schools can be granted from the Elisabeth Schuster Fund in the same way as other Schuster-grants. Schuster-grants can be granted for studies in a German-, Spanish- or Portuguese speaking country.
The grants are intended for BSc and MSc students at Hanken. Students must have completed at least 6 credit points of German or Spanish at Hanken (or a minimum of 6 credit points of transferred German or Spanish studies) or should actively participate in a German or Spanish course at Hanken during the ongoing term and complete 6 credits before the course takes place. Applicants who intend to study in a country where Portuguese is spoken must have completed at least 6 credit points in Spanish at Hanken (or a minimum of 6 credit points of transferred Spanish studies) or should attach a certificate of studies in Portuguese.
You who want to attend a Summer School are to do the arrangements for the course yourself, from finding possible course organizers to taking care of applying. Grants are awarded for Summer Schools within the field of economics and business in Schuster-countries, in first hand Hanken's partner universities and in the second place other universities of good repute.
It is the student that is himself responsible for organizing his/her trip, course registration and also for all the costs of attending a Summer School. Grants can be awarded up till the maximum amounts presented on Hanken's website: Hanken Funds. On the same address there is also more information on how to apply for the grants and which attachments that should be included in the application.
The application deadline is 15th February 2011 at 3.45 p.m.
