Publishing the manuscript at Hanken
Information on the publication of working papers is available from the Publications secretary at the library. Students who have chosen to publish their doctoral thesis manuscript in Hanken's Series also receive practical information from the Publications secretary. Please see contact information to the Publications secretary here.
Information on the different series published at Hanken is available on the library's web pages about publications.
On the library's web pages Information for doctoral students you can find a lot of useful information on submitting your manuscript, i.e. how to publish your thesis, a checklist, a process chart as well as a template.
Students should contact the Publications secretary well in advance. In the case of a doctoral thesis manuscript, this should occur already before the pre-examiners are appointed in the Academic Council. Please note that the library (or any other publisher) has the right to refuse to enter in to contract with the student unless appropriate documentation can be provided. This would mean that the student cannot proceed with their dissertation! In order to avoid such a situation the student should gather all required documentation and hand it in to the Academic Council with their manuscript when the pre-examiners are to be appointed.
Publishing the manuscript outside Hanken
If you choose not to publish your doctoral thesis in Hanken's series "Ekonomi och samhälle" you are supposed to deliver about 50 copies of your doctoral thesis to the School. These copies are for the public defence and for internal distribution. You should also deliver a PDF-file of the thesis that can be published at the web pages of the School. If your thesis is published in a scientific series and an electronic version of it will appear at the publisher's web site, we wish you inform the library about it. This should be done at least 10 days before the public defence.
