Completed courses and certificates
Courses are completed and registered in the study records, partial courses with their own course code are also registered and appear on the transcript of records. Completed courses shall be registered in the study records within one week of the results being published and will be registered with the date when the last part of the course was completed. In order to pass a course, a student must pass each separate part of the course. Passed separate parts of courses generally remain valid for one academic year. Unless the entire course has been completed within this time the whole course must be retaken.
Updating expired courses
Completed courses at bachelor's and master's level are valid for seven years and must thereafter be updated in order to be included in the master's degree. You can apply for an update of an expired course by filling in a form.
Transcript of records
You can receive an official transcript of records with a stamp and signature at the ServicePoint in Helsinki or at the Office of Study Affairs in Vaasa. If you want an unofficial transcript, you can order one through WebOodi. The transcript includs all the studies that you have completed.
Completed studies that have been registered cannot be deleted from the study register or excluded from the transcript of records. Grades that have been assessed qualitatively cannot be changed to the grade "pass".
Certificate of enrolment
You can have an official certificate of enrolment at the ServicePoint in Helsinki or at the Office of Study Affairs in Vaasa.
Certificate of completed degree
When you have completed your degree you will receive a Degree Certificate at the graduation ceremony. If you need a certificate certifying that you have completed your degree before you obtain your Degree Certificate, send an e-mail to studyinfo(at)hanken.fi.
