Maturity Test
In which language should I take my maturity test?
If you have completed your secondary education in another country than Finland, you will take your maturity test in English.
If you have completed your secondary education in Finnish or Swedish in Finland and have already for your previous university degree passed a maturity test in your secondary education language and have by that fulfilled the language requirement in your secondary education language according to the Act on the Knowledge of Languages Required of Personnel in Public Bodies 424/2003 (Lagen om de språkkunskaper som krävs av offentligt anställda/ Laki julkisyhteisöjen henkilöstöltä vaadittavasta kielitaidosta), you will take your maturity test in English. Please check your previous degree certificate or transcript of records to make sure that you have fulfilled the language requirement.
If you have completed your secondary education in Finnish or Swedish in Finland, but have not passed a maturity test in your secondary education language for your previous university degree or have not fulfilled the language requirement in your secondary education language in your previous university degree, according to the Act on the Knowledge of Languages Required of Personnel in Public Bodies 424/2003, you must take your maturity test in your secondary education language at Hanken.
