Learning Lab in Helsinki

In the Learning Lab you can work together in groups, talk about your work while you have access to the library service and computers. At certain hours experts on Office-programs and other applications will be available.

Seven large tables and 17 smaller ones are spread out in the learning lab. The lab is situated on the first floor in the main building in Helsinki. In the middle there is a large table with computers with direct access to certain databases containing journals and other library databases. From the end of September there will also be computers at 17 of the tables.

In the Learning Lab you have access to Internet (via HOPEnet) both via WLAN and cable.

At InfoBITen, the IT-services helpdesk, staff from the computer center will help you with general IT-problems (user id:s, rights, etc.). At certain times you will also get help with Office programs and other special applications (WebCT, Adobe programs, PDF etc).

The ServicePoint desk by the entrance of the lab helps students with registering, transcripts, general advice on studies, exchange studies, forms, etc. The service desk is for all kinds of students; master students, doctoral students, exchange students, open university students and "JOO"-students.
