Academic calender 2010-2011

The Academic year begins 1 August and ends 31 July. The terms are divided inte two teaching periods each, periods 1 and 2 during the Autumn term and periods 3 and 4 during the Spring term. Each teaching period consists of seven weeks of teaching followed by one week for examns. Period 4 is one week longer than the other periods due to Easter vacation.

AUTUMN TERM:

30.8-15.10 Teaching period 1

16-23.10 Exam week for period 1

25.10-10.12 Teaching period 2

13-18.12 Exam week for period 2

SPRING TERM:

24.1-11.3 Teaching period 3

12-19.3 Exam week for period 3

21.3-13.5 Teaching period 4

14-21.5 Exam week for period 4

Creating your own Schedule

You can plan your schedule in TimeEdit by making their own timetable. The program is in Swedish, follow the instructions below:

* Select "Bokningssökning" (Search Bookings)
* Select "Avancerad sökning" (Advanced search) in the upper right corner
* Select "Kurser" (courses) in the field "Typ"
* Insert the course code in the field "Namn" (Name)
* Select the course you want with the blue arrow in front of the course code. NB! The letter H after the course code indicates Helsinki, the letter V Vaasa, so select only courses for your own campus. You can select up to ten different courses.
* Select "Textformat" or "Grafiskt format" to see your timetable. "Grafiskt format" shows a weekly schedule, "Textformat" a list.
