Information Literacy
Information Literacy at Hanken
Information Literacy means ability to handle, search, critically evaluate, creatively use information. This is how information literacy is defined in Hankenīs ICT strategy eHanken.
The Teaching and Research Council approved of Hankenīs Information Literacy Programme in May 2005. The programme covers both goals and courses where skills are taught.
Guides in English and Useful instructions can be found on these pages, as well as courses open for students and Staff.
The paper " Together we are Stronger - from a vision to an integrated information literacy program" presented at the Conference Creating Knowledge IV in Copenhagen (2006) describes the program in English, as well as the main goals in eHanken.
InfoLit courses, i.e. training sessions in databases and other ICT-tools, are arranged throughout the term. See schedule for current training.
