Reading Club for Doctoral Students

By voluntary initiative a "reading club" has been set up for the community of doctoral students at Hanken. Participants of the reading club will read pre-assigned articles and gather once or twice a month to discuss a specific topic/theme. The topic chosen will be general in order for it to be relevant for students from all the different departments. The aim of the reading group is to open up for discussion about challenging topics/themes and thereby disseminate knowledge across departments. The meetings are very informal and are followed by an opportunity for socializing.

cremesmall.jpg

The research group on Corporate Responsibility, Ethics & Management Education (CREME) was established in 2011, gathering Hanken faculty and doctoral students with a research interest in issues related to corporate responsibility, sustainability, ethics and/or responsible management education.

The aim of CREME is to provide a cross-disciplinary community that can provide academic support to all Hanken researchers (whether doctoral students or faculty members) who have an interests in these topics, independent of departmental affiliation - through the organization of research seminars and other activities. The group arranges around 6 research seminars/meeting every year.

The next meeting will be held in late April or early May 2012.

If you have an interest in these issues and are interested in joining our mailing list and/or attending our meetings please contact either Martin Fougère (fougere (at) hanken.fi) or Nikodemus Solitander (solitander (at) hanken.fi)
