Hanken offers doctoral education in the following majors:

• Accounting
• Commercial Law
• Economics
• Entrepreneurship and Management
• Finance
• Information Systems Science
• Management and Organisation
• Marketing
• Statistics
• Supply Chain Management and Corporate Geography

In case you wish to change your Ph.D. major

Please read the following instructions and information carefully:

1. Students must apply in writing for permission to change Ph.D. major/campus using the same general application form as that used for applying to commence doctoral studies. (The form is available here)
2. The intended major/campus should be clearly stated in the application.
   
3. The following documents should be attached:

• A statement explaining why they wish to change their major/campus.
• A transcript of records indicating courses already completed within doctoral studies at Hanken.
  
• A research proposal.
• Other documents in accordance with the supplementary requirements set by the majors, if the intended major has specific requirements in addition to the basic ones.

The completed and signed application form together with other documents should be sent to the doctoral studies coordinator. The applications will be processed after the application date. Students will be notified in writing of the decision made by the rector. If not accepted, students will continue their studies within the original major. If accepted, students will be assigned a new degree supervisor.
