Computers in Helsinki and Vaasa
Helsingfors
The business school has seven computer rooms with 95 micro computers and one laser printer in every auditorium, and in addition the school has a few micro computers for practice use. The micro auditoriums are allowed to be used by students when there are no lectures. The student union has their own micro computers which may be used by students.
Opening hours:
The computer rooms and the Learning Lab in the main building are open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. To avoid queuing plan your computer time to evenings.
Computers in the Library:
The library contains a computer room called "the aquarium".
Vaasa
Vaasa has three micro auditoriums with a total of 60 micro computers and one laser printer per auditorium, which may be used by the students. In addition there is one language and multimedia studio with 20 computers to be used only for education.
Rules for using the computers
For those who have booked a computer:
When leaving your computer leave a note on the keyboard stating:
- Time for leaving
- Time for returning
Remember that it is only allowed to be away from the computer for 30 minutes. For security reasons please log off before leaving - even if it only is for ten minutes. Meanwhile it also makes it possible for others to check their e-mail. If there is no note on the keyboard the computer is available, even if someone has marked the place.
Additional rules
- It is forbidden to eat or drink in the computer rooms
- If you leave the computer late in the evening remember to shut down the computer
- Clean up after yourself
