Tools to find current open calls
Databases and information services
The TURA database is a service open to Hanken students and staff. It consists of information on domestic and international funding organisations and instruments and information on when the calls are open for applications. This is a service bought by Hanken, and it is forbidden to forward information from it outside of Hanken.
Four times a year a printed compilation of calls "Apurahatiedote" is delivered to the departments.
In order to have access to the page you will have to be logged on to a Hanken computer, or logged on through the Nelli-portal (the bulletin board works well through Nelli. In order to use the TURA database for searches we recommend the use of a Hanken computer).
TURA is in Finnish, some of the information by the funding organisations is given in Swedish or in English.
From the start page of TURA you may perform searches in the database, read the TURA Apurahatiedote or visit the TURA bulletin board.
On the TURA bulletin board you find information on ongoing and up-coming calls, as well as the web version of Apurahatiedote with information on national and international calls during a 3 months span.
- The National Union of University Students in Finland(A database for scholarships - available only in Finnish)
- Säätiöpalvelu (a service provided by the Council of Finnish Foundations) (Available in Finnish only)
- Luckan (In Swedish)
Daily Newspapers
Most of the funding organisations announce their calls in the main daily newspapers, e.g. in Hufvudstadsbladet and in Helsingin Sanomat.
Webpages of the funding organisations
Most of the funding bodies have web pages with information on their calls and application processes. You can find some webpages of funding bodies in the menu on left: Students > Doctoral students > Funding > Other funding.
