Aim

The aim of the course is to further the understanding of humanitarian logistics and supply chain management concepts and processes in the area of development aid. Development aid has in humanitarian logistics and supply chain literature so far received less attention than disaster relief, which is why there is an urgent need for furthering the understanding in this area as well as conducting research. After the completion of the course the students should have an understanding of the relevant topics and how research is conducted in supply chain management, especially in the area of development aid. The course will have experts both from Finland and abroad.
