Contents
The course provides an introduction to the entire Master’s degree programme in International Management and Strategy (MIMS). The course offers conceptual tools for analysing and acting on challenges facing managers in multinational firms, with a focus on the internal dynamics of multinational corporations.
This course is exclusively for students who have been admitted to the Master's degree programme in International Management and Strategy.
Learning Objectives
The course aims to provide the participants with an overview of management and strategy within the context of multinational corporations (MNCs). By the end of the course, students should:
• Have an understanding of what the concepts of "management" and "strategy" mean in the context of MNCs;
• Know the major concepts and frameworks that exist to describe and diagnose management and strategy issues in these firms;
• Understand how international management and strategy issues are influenced by the internal and external context of the MNC;
• Be able to demonstrate their knowledge of international management and strategy issues by applying it to a concrete practical example.
