Mål
The purpose of the doctoral course is to provide an overview of contemporary perspectives on organization theory. The course consists of a series of sessions focusing on specific theories and approaches. The course is a seminar. The participants prepare and initiate discussions on the day's readings, while the teacher plays the role of facilitator and referee.

This course is compulsory for all doctoral students admitted to the doctoral program in Management and Organization in Helsinki.

Undervisningsformer
The syllabus contains 10 sessions, altogether approximately 40 hours. The participants are provided specific readings for each session. They are to write short papers for specific sessions as well as a longer term paper.
Litteratur
A material package consisting of selected articles and book chapters.
Examination
1) Active and informed participation in class, 2) short papers presented in class, 3) an individual term paper.
