In order to enroll on the course, students are required to submit the first pre-assignment by Tuesday 19.10. The preassignment and the required readings can be found under the "exercises"-heading. The course password will be sent to those students who enroll by Weboodi. If you want to start earlier, however, all four articles can be found through the Nelli portal.

Mål

The goal of the course is to support students in producing Master's theses of high academic quality. The basis of the course is research design. By building an understanding of different types of research design, students are enabled to make sense of the thicket of research methods in designing their own master's research project.

Förkunskaper

Completed Bachelor's thesis or equivalent. This course forms part of the Master's Degree Programme in International Management whose students must have completed at least 20 ECTS in the programme in order to qualify for this course.

Undervisningsformer

Lectures, exercises and seminars aimed to develop students' ability to comprehend, critically analyse and independently conduct research in the area of management. The course is coordinated with the course Research Seminar and complements it by specifically focusing on research design and philosophy of science - the conceptual tools of academic research. Note that both courses must be started during the same term.
