Postgraduate course on economic development in Asia

The aim of the course is to examine and analyse the process of economic development in East Asia and South Asia with special reference to China and India. The relevance and importance of this process of development to other countries will be highlighted. It is hoped that by the end of this course, students will have a clear understanding of the complex process of social, economic, cultural, political and institutional factors responsible for the success of some and failure of other countries in the world. The lessons learnt will be extremely valuable for students doing business degrees and international economic degrees.

The cousre will be taught by Assoc. Prof. Kartik Roy, University of Queensland, Australia.
