I am a doctoral candidate at the department of Management and Organisation. The focus of my dissertation is on diversity management from a critical perspective. I study the discourses managers draw on when talking about diversity management and difference, as well as the discourses minorities draw on when talking about their worklife experiences in a diversity promoting organisation. National contextualisation is also central in my work and I show how the understandings of "us Finns" or "us French" shape the way diversity and difference are understood by both managers and minorities.
During my doctoral studies I have studied at Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers in Paris, (January 2004-July 2004), and at the CADIS-research laboratory at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris between September 2004 and September 2006.
