Welcome to the Accounting

Accounting at Hanken has an international orientation in its education and research activities at the downtown Helsinki campus and at the Vaasa campus. Our facultyis part of a well-functioning network, working together with academic and business communities in Finland and abroad
We offer a comprehensive curriculum of BSc & MSc covering Management Accounting and Financial Accounting, auditing included. An English track is offered in the master's program. Our faculty is involved in the Certified EFFAS Financial Analysts program (CEFA/CIIA) and other executive education programs. Our Ph.D. program is integrated with the Graduate School of Accounting (GSA) together with other leading Finnish business schools.

Our research covers both Financial and Management Accounting. Areas covered are e.g. segment reporting and goodwill reporting in International Accounting (IFRS), the audit expectation gap, small company audit, balanced scorecard (BSC), budgeting, and managing and control of business segments.
