Practical study advice

After completed course registration, you will receive information to your e-mail on how to start your Open University studies at Hanken. The course registration simultaneously registers you to the Hanken Study Record Oodi and for your selected course(s).

Note! You still have to sign up for any exercise groups and for exams via Oodi by yourself. For this purpose, and to be able to take part of the Hanken intranet, you need a user ID that will be created for you after your completed course registration. You will receive more information per e-mail about this. You can pick up your user ID at the ServicePoint in Helsinki and at the IT-support (3rd floor) in Vaasa.

The Academic Year 2012-2013

• Autumn term:3.9-19.10 Period 1 (P1), 20 & 22-27.10 is exam week for period 1. 29.10-14.12 Period 2 (P2). 15 & 17-21.12 is exam week for period 2
• Spring term: 21.1-8.3 Period 3 (P3). 9 & 11-15.3 is exam week for period 3. 18.3-10.5 Period 4 (P4). 28.3-3.4 is Easter leave. 11 & 13-18.5 is exam week for period 4.
• The academic year begins August 1 and ends July 31. Instruction is given during four periods. One period is seven weeks and is to be followed by an exam week. In addition to this there is also a re-examination.
