Today Vaasa is a city of 57 000 inhabitants. With 12 000 students, it is very much a student and university city.
Vaasa Campus
The Vaasa Campus was founded in 1980. Today it has 400 students enrolled in bachelors or masters programs and another 30 pursuing a PhD. With 30 faculty members, the size of the school allows an intimate atmosphere - you will become close to both students and faculty.
The campus is located in one of the city center's most beautiful buildings. Recently renovated, the building allows students and staff to take advantage of the most recent technologies and facilities.
The Student Association in Vaasa arranges many activities, get-togethers and parties for all students at the Vaasa campus. Most happenings take place at Cellanova the association's own nightclub. Read about upcoming activities at the homepage.
Vaasa City
The town is the heart of Ostrobothnia, on the West coast of Finland. Vaasa is said to be the sunniest city in Finland and there are many different activities that you can take part in here. You can spend your day shopping in one of the shopping centers, visit the Kvarken Archipelago outside of Vaasa -Finland's first World Natural Heritage site, eat a lovely dinner at one of the restaurants or go out partying.
