10 million euros yield 35 million euros

During 2010, Hanken has an exceptional opportunity to create the foundations for a strong, independent economy.

The Ministry of Education is preparing financial investments in Finnish universities in proportion to the private funds the universities raise - non-earmarked, private donations received by December 31st 2010 will be multiplied by 3.5.

The funds raised must constitute new, private capital. Contributions must be directed to the universities' fixed capital, of which only the return on invested capital can be used.

If Hanken reaches its goal of 10 million euros, the Ministry of Education will contribute 25 million euros.

The funds raised through HANKEN 100 are consolidated into Hanken's two funds, the Centenary Endowment Fund and the Development Fund. Non-earmarked donations to the Centenary Endowment Fund qualify for the Ministry of Education's financial investment. Earmarked, project-specific contributions must be directed to the Development Fund.
