Hanken School of Economics 100 Years of Future

Hanken's origins date back to 1909, when it was founded by members of the local business community "as the most advanced educational institution in Finland with instruction in the Swedish language". Today the School is one of Finland's three business schools of university standing. The right to award doctoral degrees was acquired in 1944. The School operates in Helsinki, where a substantial portion of Finland's business is located, and in Ostrobotnia on the west coast, where small and medium sized business predominates - and where many of Finland's Swedish-speakers live.

100th anniversary in mind, Hanken has introduced an online timeline on it's history.
