| CERS - the Centre for Relationship Marketing and Service Management was founded in 1994 as a unit associated with the Department of Marketing at the Hanken School of Economics. The centre focuses on research and management education within the areas of service and relationship marketing. CERS' mission is to provide intellectual leadership in these areas, with the goal of improving business thought and practice.

| Research |
| CERS strives to create frontline academic knowledge through interactions with its international academic network and the surrounding business community. CERS is widely recognised as a leading research and knowledge centre in its field. Since its foundation, 33 doctoral theses have been defended and published at CERS. Currently 13 senior researchers, and 35 doctoral students are associated to CERS, of which one third are acting as full time researchers.
