The HANKEN 100 campaign

An international, independent and strong business school

From the year of 2010, when the university reform law takes effect, the independence of the Finnish universities - as well as their financial responsibilities - will increase. In this new situation private funding will be critical, and Hanken turns to its alumni, partners and friends to realize its vision of a strong, international, financially independent business school.

With the aid of the HANKEN 100 campaign, Hanken will pursue its internationalization-strategy by

  • engaging internationally experienced, as well as young and promising, lecturers and researchers through new research and teaching positions, endowed chairs and tenure-track positions in both the school's areas of strength and areas of development
  • creating attractive, unique possibilities for Hanken students to study abroad at top level business schools
  • financing extensive research projects, focusing for instance on Russia and family business
  • developing the existing learning and research environment
  • developing and strengthening the school's language education.

Hanken supporter for life

Hanken's donors remain a visible and constant part of the School's activities, and Hanken maintains continuous contact with its contributors.

In 2012 the school will publish a book on the HANKEN 100 fundraising campaign, thanking all campaign contributors with individual, printed plaquettes. Donors may customize their plaquettes with e.g. a personal greeting, a picture, a company logo etc. Plaquette size varies according to the donated amount. All plaquettes are listed in alphabetical order.

Hanken publishes the names of all its donors on its website and in its publications (subjects to donors' wishes). Donors are published in alphabetical order, sums are not published. Donations of 10 000 euro or more are marked with an honourable mention. Donations of 100 000 euro or more are published as news items or press releases (subject to donors' wishes).
