Friends of Hanken

An international, independent and strong business school

From the year of 2010, when the university reform law took effect, the independence of the Finnish universities - as well as their financial responsibilities - increased. In this new situation private funding is critical, and Hanken turns to its alumni, partners and friends to realize its vision of a strong, international, financially independent business school.

Every contribution makes a difference

The purpose of the fund is to support Hanken's research, promote international exchange, improve the school and work environment, and on the fund's behalf show appreciation for outstanding achievements. The fund is subject to Hanken's board and conducted by a committee whose task is to, in consultation with the rector, distribute donations to relevant purposes within Hanken.

The incoming donations are directed on a yearly basis to important development areas within the school. In other words, all donations contribute directly to the development and creation of new knowledge.
