Hanken - Research based Expertise

Hanken School of Economics represents the Nordic type of business school where research and research education play a central role. The Hanken faculty is engaged in theory generating, theory testing and commissioned projects, nationally and internationally, often in co-operation with other universities and the corporate world. The School's commitment to creating new knowledge is the foundation for the quality in education in the degree programmes, the MBA programme, and the Executive Education. The research education, where senior researchers act as students' supervisors, is seen as an important part of Hanken's activities in order to build a solid base for future research and academia. The research is conducted at the Academic Departments and at the Knowledge Centres.

Forskning-ResearchHanken strives towards excellence in research in a few selected areas of strength selected by the Board. The four areas are Finance and Statistics, Intellectual Property Law, Management and Organisation, and Service and Relationship Marketing.
