Keynote speaker Professor Guido Palazzo

"The multinational corporation as a political actor" - CSR research and practice in a global context

April 8, plenary session starting at 10:00

Guido Palazzo is Professor of Business Ethics at HEC, University of Lausanne and a visiting Fellow at the Universities of Oxford and Nottingham. He has two main research interests, a) globalization and corporate responsibility and b) ethical and unethical decision making in corporations. His work is published in the Academy of Management Review, the Journal of Management Studies, the Business Ethics Quarterly and the Journal of Business Ethics. He is associate editor of the Business Ethics Quarterly and the European Management Review. In 2008 he won the Max-Weber Award for Business Ethics of the German Industry Association. Guido Palazzo works with numerous multinational corporations and NGOs in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility.

This panel discussion on art and global responsibility will involve:

Sérgio Póvoa Pires from ISAE/FGV in Curitiba, Brazil, interested in the relations between art, business and global responsibility not only as a business school faculty member and director of international programs, but also through his experiences as an architect, urbanist, designer, activist and artist.

Ariane Berthoin Antal from Social Science Research Center Berlin, Germany (also Distinguished Research Professor at Audencia Nantes School of Management, France), Program Leader of Artistic Interventions in Organizations in the research unit "Cultural Sources of Newness".

Piritta Kantojärvi, a creative facilitator from Grape Arte, a company based in Helsinki that provides facilitation through art.

Arja Tiili, a dance artist and choreographer also from Grape Arte.
