The aim of this course is to provide an overview of strategic human resource management in medium- and large-size firms. The course focuses on the question of how an organization recruits, manages, develops and retains people in order to respond to future competitive challenges.

After the course, students will be able to
• Understand core concepts and principles within strategic human resource management
• Understand and analyze key HRM practices within recruitment and selection, competence development, and performance and talent management
• Apply appropriate HRM principles and practices in specific organizational contexts.
