SEFE donates 196 800 euro to Hanken's Centenary Endowment Fund

SEFE, the Finnish Association of Business School Graduates, has donated 196 800 euros to Hanken's Centenary Endowment Fund and the HANKEN 100 fundraising campaign.

The association has donated a total of 2 million euros to Finnish universities offering education in the fields business and economics. Donations have been allocated based on, among other things, the amount of business graduates and on the amount of SEFE-members at each university.

Through its donation, SEFE wishes to support economic and business education sciences at Finnish universities. "By developing economic and business education sciences, we are able to increase Finnish competitiveness, which in turn supports our country's prosperity and success. We need business school graduates to, among other things, create, productify and market innovations. Business school graduates are also needed in export trade, in the public sector and in leading positions in various fields. It is important for the association to highlight the impact that economic and business education sciences have on society", says Maria Bäck, first vice chairman of SEFE. The HANKEN 100 fundraising campaign was launched in conjunction with Hanken's centenary celebration in 2009.
